The highly anticipated Off the Wall competition returns for its 17th year! Each year the area high school students are invited to share their talent by participating in a high school art exhibit and competition sponsored by Lockheed Martin. The competition encourages student expression and creativity in a professional setting. The exhibit includes student work in the following categories: Visual Art, Poetry, and our STEAM influenced category, Art & Technology (3D prints & digital designs). Each category is adjudicated by a professional in the field.

*Note: Due to COVID-19, the ARTfactory is not hosting a reception/open house for this exhibit. The exhibit will be available for viewing by appointment only, and will also be available as a virtual exhibit on our website.

*Traveling Exhibition UPDATE: The traveling exhibit portion of the competition has been canceled for this year. However, Lockheed Martin plans to host Off the Wall as a virtual art exhibit on their website. More information will provided as soon as possible.

Visual Arts Judge: David Amoroso

David Amoroso shows his admiration for Latin culture through his artwork. His artistic passion is divided between painting, photography, and block and screen prints. Although the majority of David’s work is dedicated to painting iconic portraits of everyday people, he also represents Mexican pop culture through his work. Through his involvement with the Latino community, he has created traditional Mexican altars for Día de los Muertos and Guatemalan Alfombras de Aserrín. He has worked and exhibited in the DC Metro area, California, Mexico, Central and South America.
