ARTfactory invites college-bound Pied Piper Theatre high school seniors with demonstrated abilities in the performing arts to apply for the Heritage Hunt Little Theatre Pied Piper Theatre Scholarship. The Scholarship Application for 2022 is now open and due no later than May 15, 2022.

The Heritage Hunt Little Theater (HHLT) is an organization of the Heritage Hunt Community in Gainesville, Virginia.
The Heritage Hunt Little Theatre is offering financial theatre scholarships for college bound seniors who have participated in ARTfactory’s Pied Piper Theatre program: one $500 scholarship for a technical theatre student and one $500 scholarship for a performance based student.
All applications are reviewed by a committee and will be scored using a rubric system. The scholarship awards will be based on the following criteria:
- Applicant must be a college-bound senior with demonstrated abilities in the performing arts.
- Receipt of the completed application form and questions. Application Form
- Receipt of applicant’s high school transcript. (May be uploaded with the application form)
- Receipt of two letters of recommendation from adults (excluding relatives) detailing qualifications for this award.(May be uploaded with the application form)
- Applicant must have a grade point average of 2.5 or above.
- Receipt of an essay detailing the applicant’s experience in the Pied Piper Theatre program outlining applicant’s involvement in Pied Piper Theatre, what their participation has meant to them and how it has shaped them and their experience in the arts. (May be uploaded with the application form)
- Applicant must demonstrate an interest in a career in theatre.
- Applicant must be planning to study theatre at a community or four year college.
- All applicant’s materials must be received on time. No late or incomplete applications will be considered.
After decisions are made by the scholarship committee, chosen recipients must provide, in writing, the college’s complete address as well as all information necessary to credit the student’s college account. These scholarships will be paid directly to the recipient’s school of choice to aid in the cost of tuition, books, fees, or room and board.
Scholarship Recipients will be notified by May 25th.
