SUMMARY:"Nostalgia" Prince William Art Society Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:“Nostalgia” Prince William Art Society Group Art ExhibitExhibit dates: July 10 2026-August 9\, 2026Artist Reception: Saturday\, July 11\, 6-8 PMRSVP: https://insidenovatix.com/events/nostalgia-opening-reception-7-11-2026View the artwork\, meet the artists\, and enjoy wine and light refreshments at this free event. Exhibition programming sponsored by Micron. About the ExhibitThe Prince William Art Society presents “Nostalgia”\, a group exhibition featuring work by 25 local artists and members. On view from July 10 through August 9\, 2026\, at ARTfactory in Historic Manassas\, the exhibition explores nostalgia as an emotional landscape shaped by memory\, longing\, and the passage of time.Through a wide range of artistic interpretations\, the works in the exhibition serve as portals into moments that feel half-remembered—places once known\, emotions once lived\, and histories inherited rather than personally experienced. Texture\, sound\, color\, and form become vehicles for memory\, evoking both personal and collective pasts while revealing how nostalgia shifts across individual perspectives. What feels intimate and familiar to one viewer may appear distant or uncanny to another.Rather than recreating the past with literal accuracy\, the artists reconstruct memory as it is emotionally felt. The exhibition invites viewers to linger in the space between then and now\, where memory becomes a living presence: tender\, unreliable\, and deeply human. In doing so\, the works ask not only what we remember\, but why certain moments continue to call us back—and what those returns reveal about who we are today. An Opening Reception will be held on Saturday\, July 11\, from 6–8 PM\, offering visitors an opportunity to meet the artists and experience the exhibition in community.Participating ArtistsDanielle Bancroft\, Fatima Batool\, Zee Berrios\, Staci Blanchard\, Larry Burch\, Evelyn Chatters\, Doreen Dauer\, Katie Keller Dugan\, Scott Elliott\, Michelle Evans\, Nicole M Fisher\, Kathleen Gates\, Sheri Herrick\, Lizzy B. SUMMARY:CALL FOR ART - "Patient Zero: An Exhibition"
DESCRIPTION:ARTfactory – CALL FOR ENTRY\nEntry Deadline: Monday\, August 31\, 2026 by 11:59 PM\nCLICK HERE TO APPLY.\n\nPatient Zero: An Exhibition\nat ARTfactory’s Caton Merchant Gallery\nExhibit dates: October 3 – October 31\, 2026\n(9419 Battle St\, Manassas\, VA 20110) \nThis October\, ARTfactory invites artists to become part of “Patient Zero: An Exhibition”\, a juried group exhibition that blurs the line between fine art and immersive storytelling. Presented in conjunction with the ARTfactory’s annual Factory of Fear haunted house\, this year’s terrifying theme—Outbreak—transforms the galleries into a chilling archive of mysterious events\, unsettling discoveries\, and the unknown. \nWe are seeking artwork that embraces the eerie\, the haunting\, and the beautifully macabre. While pieces inspired directly by this year’s zombie-themed haunted house are encouraged\, artists are also invited to explore broader interpretations of darkness and mystery. Think moody landscapes swallowed by fog\, anatomical studies and scientific curiosities\, abandoned laboratories\, supernatural figures\, ghostly portraits\, dystopian visions\, folklore\, decay\, the ethereal\, or the undead. Whether psychological\, gothic\, surreal\, or horror-inspired\, we welcome work that evokes suspense\, wonder\, or unease. \n“Patient Zero: An Exhibition” offers a unique opportunity for artists to have their work experienced as part of one of the region’s most anticipated Halloween attractions. During the event\, the building will be transformed\, with each floor featuring a unique and terrifying theme for visitors to explore. The first-floor art gallery will become AF Laboratories\, where the exhibition will be integrated into the immersive environment of Factory of Fear. This annual exhibition celebrates the incredible creativity of our artistic community while adding another layer of storytelling to ARTfactory’s signature October event. \nAbout the Factory of Fear Event:\nFactory of Fear returns in 2026 with an all-new immersive theme\, Outbreak\, transforming all four floors of the ARTfactory into a terrifying world of infection\, quarantine\, and survival. Guests will encounter brand-new sets\, characters\, special effects\, and scares as they navigate deeper into the heart of a mysterious catastrophe. Each floor reveals a different stage of the outbreak\, creating a larger\, more immersive experience than ever before. Whether you’re a returning fan or a first-time visitor\, you’ll discover an entirely new nightmare waiting behind every door. \nPlease note that “Patient Zero: An Exhibition” will be open for regular public gallery viewing from October 3–10. During the haunted house run (October 11–24)\, the exhibition will be incorporated into the Factory of Fear attraction and will not be available for standard gallery visitation.
