PPT Auditions for Cats (Young Actors Edition)

Pied Piper Theatre announces Auditions for Cats (Young Actors Edition) is a one-hour adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s hit musical, specially tailored for young actors. CATS is set amongst a larger-than-life junkyard playground and is alive with purr-fect felines, including Rum Tum Tugger, Mr. Mistoffelees, Macavity, Jennyanydots, Old Deuteronomy, Skimbleshanks and Grizabella. The Jellicle Cats come out to play on one special night of the year—the night of the Jellicle Ball. One by one, they tell their stories for the amusement of Old Deuteronomy, their wise and benevolent leader, who must choose one of the Cats to ascend to The Heaviside Layer and be reborn into a whole new Jellicle life.

COVID POLICY:   All cast, crew, volunteers and production staff for Cats (Young Actors Audition) must be fully vaccinated to participate in this production.  Face coverings are recommended. The cast will perform without masks.

Show Dates

Cats (Young Actors Edition) will be performed at Grace Metz Middle School on October 22 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and on Sunday, October 23 at 3 p.m.

Rehearsals will be held Mondays and Wednesdays (location tbd) from 6 – 8:30 p.m. and Saturdays at the ARTfactory from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
