Advanced Drawing

$3 – $2025Award winning artist, Christine Raymond, offers this class for artists who desire to refine their drawing skills in charcoal.
The first semester we will further our understanding of the 9 value scale as it pertains to form, understand edges, learn how to compose a complex still life to create a visual story of self, and create an award winning piece. Second semester students will gain an understanding of the foundational aspects of both figures and portrait in charcoal to create a final piece for competitions and portfolios.
To be considered, the student must submit a letter/email of interest along with a portfolio in-cluding 5 pieces with an artist statements. Please do not hesitate to contact Christine for addi-tional information or to answer questions.
Tuition Includes:
-Regular weekly classes
-Additional outside support via text, email, and even zoom
-Occasional one-on-one meetings or semi-groups to review portfolios or teach specific skills missing
After the New Year on Wednesdays, Advanced Drawing will be 2 – 8 week sessions to study the figure and portrait in charcoals.
