Art in Motion: Devising Movement Inspired by Art
Explore the relationship between visual and movement-based art forms.
In this workshop, participants will respond to paintings, photographs, sculptures, or other forms of visual art to generate movement and create meaningful choreography. Through guided improvisation, reflection, and collaborative composition, you’ll learn simple tools to translate imagery, texture, color, and emotion into physical expression.
Whether you’re new to dance or looking to reignite your creative spark, this session offers a low-pressure, exploratory environment to dabble in dance making with intention and imagination.
No prior dance or art experience is required – just curiosity and a willingness to play!
