Disney Newsies: The Broadway Musical is a high-energy, crowd-pleasing Broadway hit inspired by the true story of the 1899 Newsboys Strike in New York City. The show follows Jack Kelly, a charismatic young newsboy who rallies his fellow “newsies” to stand up against powerful publishing giants after unfair price hikes threaten their livelihoods.
