Actors Theatre Auditions

Actors Theatre for Young Audiences
Actors Theatre for Young Audiences produces professionally mounted productions for young audiences, performed by older teen and adult actors.  The minimum age is 16.  These productions are not youth theatre, and roles are cast to reflect adult or near adult performers working in shows designed for children and families. Actors Theatre for Young Audiences will be holding auditions for their next production, The Princess and the Pea.
Prince John must find a princess to marry so that he can claim the throne.  A masked ball could be the solution.  But his stepmother–the Queen–and her jester have other ideas, complicating the issue with hilarious mischief.  Will the true princess be found—one who can pass all the tests?

All roles are paid a stipend. Seeking Non-union actors for the following roles:

Malcolm—minstrel and royal advisor to the Queen. Male preferred. Serves as narrator & has two songs.

Egroeg—mysterious wizard (the king in disguise). Non-singing role.

Meg–kindly maidservant to the Queen. Sings a duet with Prince John.
